It is through one of these gates, usually restricted to track marshals, that a man casually decided to take a stroll on the Marina Bay Circuit during the Singapore Grand Prix, thus causing a second Safety Car period. The FIA should probably start looking into this sort of hazard, for this was not a first this year. At Shanghai, another track invader had already rushed across to the Ferrari garage during a free practice session, saying that he "wanted to have a Formula 1 car". And let's not forget similar incidents which took place at Hockenheim in 2000, or Silverstone in 2003...
