The 'stroopwafel' is all the rage at Zandvoort this weekend. And on Thursday, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez donned their cooking aprons and got their hands sticky to whip up a treat for the paddock.
The delectable delicacy, consisting of two thin waffle cookies filled with a sweet, gooey caramel syrup, has a rich history in the Netherlands dating back to the late 18th century and to the town of Gouda, famous for its cheese.
As they cooked up a sweet storm, Max and Checo turned the paddock into a syrupy battleground, whipping up stroopwafels that were more daring than their on-the-limit driving.
While the Red Bull chargers handled the cooking, Daniel Ricciardo - in full Honey Badger mode - was on hand to take care of the serving!
