While his Formula 1 drivers are soaking up the sun somewhere and enjoying the pleasures of crystal blue waters during the sport’s summer break, Zak Brown is spending his downtime indulging in his true passion - racing.

The McLaren boss may be steering one of the most prestigious teams in modern motorsport, but his heart still races for the roar of vintage engines and the timeless thrill of historic racing.

This weekend, he’s getting his fill at the Rolex Monterey Motorsport Reunion at WeatherTech Raceway, where nostalgia traditionally meets speed.

A regular participant in the massively popular event at Laguna Seca, the American is competing with three distinguished machines from his ever-expanding and impressive collection.

Leading the charge is Brown's familiar ex-Alan Jones Williams FW07B, alongside two recent additions to his private museum: a 1988 Le Mans-winning Jaguar XJR-9 and a 1978 BMW 320i Turbo IMSA, a car once run by none other than… McLaren.
