If he wasn’t already at the top of his class, it looks like he’s growing up quickly, the Frenchman spent three days filling up the rear views of his veteran team mate. While he was a tenth of a second adrift in qualifying, he was undoubtedly faster than Pérez in the second half of the Grand Prix, and perhaps could have run down Ricciardo. Despite his frustration with Checo, he played it smart in not risking an accident.
