F1i's Driver Ratings for the 2021 Belgian Grand Prix

Mick Schumacher (P16): 5/10
The Schumacher name will forever be connected to the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, but family history doesn't guarantee success on the track as Mick found out all too well this weekend. He was slowest in the first two practice sessions on Friday, even lagging behind his Haas team mate Nikita Mazepin, but pepped up in final practice where he was an encouraging 15th quickest in the tricky conditions. There was no surprise when he failed to make the cut again at the end of the first round of qualifying on Saturday afternoon, but at least he ended ahead of Kimi Raikkonen who has busy having his own troubles this weekend. Lining up in 17th on the grid, Mick gained a place when Sergio Perez spun off on his out-lap but otherwise there was no opportunity for him to do anything to improve his lot in a race than never happened. The lovely special tribute helmet he wore for his father deserved a sunnier outing.

Yuki Tsunoda (P15): 4.5/10
After a confidence-boosting sixth place in Hungary before the summer break, Yuki Tsunoda would have been hoping to be continue his improvement again this weekend. But Spa is a tough challenge even for the most experienced drivers, and first time out in the worst of weather conditions was all a bit too much for the Japanese rookie, who never made it into the top ten in practice and then missed the cut at the end of the first round of qualifying by quite a margin, leaving him on the sidelines with the four drivers from Haas and Alfa Romeo. Sergio Perez' costly out-lap mishap meant that Tsunoda actually lined up in 15th place on the grid, but that was the summit of his afternoon as torrential rain meant the race never went green and he was unable to do anything about improving his position further before race control finally decided to pack up and go home.
