MERCEDES’ SEGMENTED FRONT WING
Mercedes tested again the segmented front wing introduced in Malaysia, with the end-plate separated from the main board. One may surmise that the high-pressure airflow that usually gathers above the main wing now goes through the opening, though the exact effects of this installation remain unknown. Out of comparison, it is interesting to notice that Ferrari elected to close off the openings on its Sepang-spec front wing.
