Scuderia AlphaTauri has revealed renderings of its 2022 contender, the Honda-powered AT03.

AlphaTauri opened up on Monday another busy week of F1 presentations, showcasing in a digital launch its new car and a revised navy blue and white livery for its 2022 campaign.

The Faenza-based squad, which finished sixth in last year's Constructors' standings, says its real all-new AT03 will make its first appearance at the start of pre-season testing next week in Barcelona.

As it enters a new era with the introduction of an entirely new set of technical regulations, AlphaTauri has privileged continuity, with the team entrusting its car this season once again to Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda.

"I am excited to finally reveal what our 2022 Formula 1 car will look like," commented long-standing AlphaTauri team boss Franz Tost.

"It is a completely new era for F1 and we hope that this package will be very strong, following last year’s success.

"Once again, we have worked closely with AlphaTauri to launch our new car and I think we’ve managed to deliver something very special."

AlphaTauri's AT03, engineered by a team led by technical director Jody Egginton, was designed around F1's radical ground effect aerodynamics and blends the work of its in-house engineers with several elements sourced from sister team Red Bull Racing, such as the car's gearbox, rear suspension and hydraulics.

Gasly, who will once again lead his team as he embarks on his sixth F1 season, is eager to take to the track next week at the Circuit de Catalunya onboard his new mount.

"This year sees a huge change to the car as, due to the new regulations, the look and design is completely different, so the team has had to start from a clean sheet of paper," says the Frenchman.

"We won’t know the true performance of the AT03 until we get it out on track at pre-season testing in Barcelona but so far, I think it looks great and I am very excited to get this new season started!"
