You can take a driver out of Formula 1, but you can’t Formula 1 out of Alpine’s new teammates Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly, even during the holiday season.

Before beginning their 2023 preparations in earnest after the New Year, Ocon and Gasly were summoned to Enstone for their first pre-season briefing with Alpine team boss Otmar Szafnauer.

It was a bit of a frantic trip however from France’s west coast to Enstone for Alpine’s duo, and one that got their competitive juices flowing as they challenged each other onboard their rapid A110 company cars.

Fortunately, they – and their cars - arrived safe and sound at the Alpine team’s headquarters, much to the relief of a very patient Otmar Szafnauer.
