Cassidy delivers Formula E Teams title to Envision in London

In a rain-soaked and delayed Formula E finale in London on Sunday, a flawless drive by Nick Cassidy delivered a personal triumph to the Kiwi but also a crucial contribution to Envision Racing's maiden Teams' World Championship title in Formula E.

Braving the ultra-tricky wet conditions, maintaining his composure throughout, Cassidy took charge from the very start, leading the race from lights to flag to secure his fourth win of the season.

Cassidy crossed the finish line with a comfortable lead over Jaguar's Mitch Evans and newly crowned FE world champion Jake Dennis.

"I don’t know why but I just felt so comfortable, we had so much pace I could play with the race, which in this category is an unreal feeling because you don’t get those chances often," commented Cassidy.

"It’s the first time in Formula E we have a car that is pretty much quick everywhere and without that we cannot really do it," added Envision team boss Sylvain Filippi.

“It’s the team, the drivers, the car and when you put it together it works but as you saw it’s very close.

“I have every faith in my team and after nine years of doing this, it took a while but it was amazing to get it.”
