As usual the Hulk had the better of Carlito Saturday afternoon, but a gearbox change demoted the Renault to row 7, from where he starred early on, getting past both Red Bulls to fill the mirrors of his team mate. But as was the case in 2017, the German’s race was compromised after he smacked the barriers.
