We estimate Danny Ric is the less guilty of the battling Red Bulls, surprised as he was by Max suddenly veering left and unsettling the Honey Badger who was left to run up the Dutchman’s backside. But they had been going at it all race long. They made contact, Ricciardo overtook Verstappen and then had to do it all over again following the late pits stop and overcut by his team mate. The team and its drivers should have known it would all end in tears.
