Analysis: Too close to call
In a perfect example of mature experience versus raw talent, this is one of the closest match-ups on the 2018 grid. Both Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen have won races this season (the only team line-up on the grid to have two different winners) with Ricciardo moving ahead in the points thanks to his second win of the year at Monaco to match his earlier success in Shanghai. However it's Verstappen who has the upper hand when it comes to qualifying, where he's been ahead of his team mate 75 per cent of the time (although grid penalties factor into that to a degree.) It's a shame that the partnership won't continue into another season because it's one of the most even team mate battles there is, and truly impossible to call for one driver over the other.
