Yuki Tsunoda, RB (P16): 5/10
Nothing went right for Yuki Tsunoda this weekend. A massive 60 place penalty for taking a medley of extra engine components meant he was stuck firmly at the back of the grid for the start of the race regardless of anything he did in qualifying (although missing the first cut is never a good look for any driver). He did at least get the better of Nico Hulkenberg and Logan Sargeant as the race went on, but basically there were no good options for the RB driver other than to take his medicine and simply get through the day. Admittedly it's even more galling when your RB team mate Daniel Ricciardo ends up in the top ten and gets to pocket a cool championship point while Tsunoda himself exits empty handed.
Valtteri Bottas, Sauber (P15): 5.5/10
Valtteri Bottas deserves credit for getting the best out of the Sauber compared to his team mate Zhou Guanyu, but in this case 'best' is hardly the word for it. The Sauber is running on fumes and Bottas might as well be out there in a golf cart for all the performance available to him. While he may have had help from the weather on Saturday, getting through to the second round of qualifying was still very much the highlight of his weekend. But in the race his options were severely limited, and inevitably he got stuck among the rest of the backmarkers with no chance to break out, leaving him 19 races without points, and his time in Formula 1 appears to be reaching a natural conclusion.
