2016 Brazilian Grand Prix - Driver ratings

Motor Racing - Formula One World Championship - Brazilian Grand Prix - Race Day - Sao Paulo, Brazil

Nico Hulkenberg - 7th place, 6 points - 8.5/10

Hulkenberg must be left wondering what he has to do to catch a break when it comes to scoring a podium. Force India was going for the same strategy with both cars - staying on full wets throughout - and Hulkenberg was ahead of team-mate Perez running fourth after Raikkonen's crash stopped the race. The red flag allowed him to change his front wing due to debris from Raikkonen's car causing damage, but then a puncture forced him to pit under the safety car on the restart. That demoted him to 15th and he made excellent progress after that to climb back into the points, but should have been much higher up without the misfortune.
