Five flying Finns first time

Heikki Kovalainen - Hungary 2008

Compared to most of his countrymen, Heikki Kovalainen was an early bloomer, winning his first - and only - Grand Prix in his second season of Formula 1 after 28 races.

Driving for McLaren alongside Lewis Hamilton, Kovalainen was outpaced by the Brit for the entire season as his team mate dueled it out with Ferrari's Felipe Massa.

The two men were in a league of their own in Hungary but a puncture for Hamilton and engine troubles for Massa handed Kovalainen his single F1 career win.
