Five flying Finns first time

Valtteri Bottas - Russia 2017

While Sochi is Bottas first win, after 81 races, it was his twelve time on the podium, with nine of those achieved with Williams in 2015 and 2016.

Bottas shared the podium yesterday with Sebastian Vettel and countryman Kimi Raikkonen but it wasn't the first time two Finns finished in the top three.

It's has actually three times previously: in Japan in 2007 and in Malaysia and Hungary in 2008, with Raikkonen and Kovalainen sharing the rostrum each time.

While Bottas is Formula 1's 107th different winner, fellow Finn Kovalainen was F1's 100th victor. That's just seven new winners in the last nine years!

Who are they? Sebastian Vettel, Mark Webber, Pastor Maldonado, Nico Rosberg, Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen.
