Vettel provides some much needed brotherly support

Sebastian Vettel filled up his free weekend with a trip to Hockenheim for the DTM finale and with some brotherly support.

Fabian Vettel, the 18-year-old younger sibling of the four-time world champion, made his debut in the international touring car scene this year, racing in the 2017 DTM-supporting Audi TT Cup.

The Ferrari driver admitted it wasn't quite the same to be on the other side of the pitwall, but insisted he was happy to encourage his brother.

"It is my free weekend, but it is still nice," Vettel said.

"You can see many old friends, even from before, so it is certainly nice to be there.

"It feels different, but I trust my brother that he does it well, he has fun, he has to start from the back, but he's pretty good," said Vettel.
