A creative but vain push for downforce

Historically, Monaco has always been Formula 1's slowest circuit and a venue where teams exploit downforce to the max.

In 2001, Arrows showed up in the Principality with an impressive winglet mounted on the nose of Jos Verstappen's its A22, a solution that put the team on the ragged edge of the sport's technical regulations.

The FIA took one look at the ungraceful and unorthodox assembly and, unsurprisingly,  banned it almost immediately.
