Sebastian Vettel's presence in Saturday's qualifying session at Monza was short-lived, the German driver suffering the humiliation of a painful Q1 exit.

Amid the turmoil at the Scuderia and lingering questions over his future beyond this season, few would have blamed the four-time world champion for packing it in and heading back to his hotel.

Instead, Vettel took his bike and cycled out to the Parabolica where he climbed the photographer's stand to watch his more fortunate colleagues battle it out in the final shootout.
