Just a day after the Italian Grand Prix, McLaren boss Zak Brown organized a karting day for his drivers and himself, providing Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri with an opportunity to revisit their roots.
Despite the McLaren boss being a bit on the heavy side, Brown apparently acquitted himself well as he valiantly battled his light-weight chargers.
"Going back to our roots with a bit of karting," he wrote on social media. "I've maybe got a little bit of time to find, but I gave them a run for their money!"
If anything, it was a day of bonding and reflection, a chance to relive the humble beginnings that had led them all to the pinnacle of motorsport, to Formula 1.
