McLaren's new state-of-the art wind tunnel that was four years in the making is now up and running.
The Woking-based outfit's achievement in bringing its new wind tunnel online marks a significant milestone for the Formula 1 team, showcasing its commitment to the ever-increasing importance of advanced aerodynamic research and performance.
The new facility, which replaces McLaren's former wind tunnel which was discarded in 2010 in favour of Toyota's facility in Cologne, is poised to play a pivotal role in honing the team's racing prowess.
"It's part of a broader and continuous investment plan from McLaren Racing in our facilities over the past few years, which has included significant upgrades to our machine shop, the next-generation simulator and our new composites facility, built in our old team base in Woking – all of which will be equally valuable tools, despite receiving less publicity," the team said.
The winds of change are finally blowing in Woking.
