Carlos Sainz - (11th place): 7/10
Another good Renault-powered recovery, and Sainz finally finished a rae. The last four races had seen mechanical issues end his afternoon prematurely, but his Toro Rosso proved reliable and Sainz climbed from 17th on the grid in to the top ten before being past by Kvyat late on. Showed robust race craft as he went wheel-to-wheel with both Raikkonen and Jenson Button in to the second chicane, standing his ground and leaving the two world champions having to take to the run-off area, but Sainz was given a five-second time penalty for going off track and gaining an advantage early on.
