Marcus Ericsson - (9th place, 2 points): 8/10
A “bittersweet” result is how Ericsson described his race, and you can see why. For a number of laps he impressed as he put pressure on Hulkenberg and looked like he may try a move having shadowed the Force India throughout. However, the final lap saw him having to keep an eye on his mirrors too, and a slight mistake out of Ascari allowed Ricciardo a run towards Parabolica, forcing Ericsson to defend on entry but lose out on exit. Could have been seventh, perhaps should have been eighth but drove well to secure his third top ten in a row. Seems to be getting on top of qualifying too with another Q3 appearance.
