He worked wonders in Australia. In China he created miracles. Not content to have posted a very surprising 13th best time in qualifying, then to get a lightening start, taking five positions, Ferna ndo managed to remain in the top ten despite being 10-15kph slower on the straights. On a wet surface, he was on pace with the best and was ready to sell his soul against Haas and Force India when his driveshaft let him down. All the same, this was vintage Alonso!
