Despite his vast experience, he too couldn’t escape the qualifying woes (don’t forget he was on pole in Austria with Williams in 2014!) and was just as baffled as Stroll. When the lights went out, he sprang into action, then avoided the chaos caused by Kvyat to finish lap one on P10. While he filled up Ocon’s mirrors, he never had the chance to make a move, losing too much ground behind the Force India.
