GOING ON A DIET

The C35’s sidepods are smaller than on its predecessor and fit more snugly around the radiators. The sidepod shoulders are also more rounded, with Sauber following the trend initiated by Ferrari at the 2015 Spanish Grand Prix. The horizontal sidepod vane hugs the shoulder, but it does not connect with the vertical deflector to form a single arching sidepod vane like on the Ferrari SF16-H and Mercedes W07.
