Ferrari and Mercedes: fighting the same fight
Ferrari is the third team that received an injunction from FIA race director Charlie Whiting to alter its front camera mountings. Maranello has followed the same philosophy as Mercedes i.e. the SF15-T’s front camera pods are installed at the ends of long struts that spring on each side of the nosecone to meet the 150mm restriction. However, the Prancing Horse’s design is bulkier than the very thin option seen on both Silver Arrows.
