MERCEDES NOT RESTING ON ITS LAURELS
There is no let up in engine development at Mercedes, whose power unit has been ruling the F1 roost in the current turbocharged era. The reigning Constructors’ champions used five tokens before Spa, though it was not disclosed which parts of the engine benefitted from evolutions. However, one can surmise that the MGU-H and turbocharger were upgraded, given that Lewis Hamilton took a sixth, a seventh, and and eighth (!) of both components in Belgium.
