McLAREN STICKS ITS TONGUE OUT
In Budapest, McLaren evaluated a new floor on their cars. The British team is committed to an intense development work during the free practice sessions on Friday, in order to pinpoint the aerodynamic deficiencies that affect the MCL33 and which would not be visible in the wind tunnel.
More squarely shaped, the edges of the diffuser have been remodelled: a “tongue” (marked in red) made its appearance (as on the Ferrari, Red Bull, Force India and Haas), while the flaps lost the fixed horizontal winglet at their base (indicated in blue), which is still used by Mercedes.
