Like its modern day counterpart, this year's biennial Monaco Historic Grand Prix was unfortunately cancelled by the global coronavirus pandemic, but the ACM has just released a beautiful documentary that pays tribute to the classical event.

A reunion of classic motorsports' fanatics and collectors, the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique offers against its azure Mediterranean backdrop a blend of sights and sounds of the amazing cars from the golden age of motorsport.

The event caters to over half a century of racing engineering, with gleaming pre-war single-seater machines manhandled by their impassioned owners rivalling with Grand Prix thoroughbreds from the 80s driven with an equal amount of gusto by gentlemen or veteran racers.

This wonderful documentary by the Automobile Club of Monaco in which you'll recognize many familiar faces - including the late Stirling Moss - will encourage anyone who is a genuine F1 fan to travel south for the event's next happening or to return if you've already been there before.
