Alpine will kick off its partnership with new title sponsor BWT by running its new A522 car in an alternate almost all-pink livery in the first two rounds of the 2022 F1 World Championship, in Bahrain and Jeddah.
The French outfit unveiled its new blue and pink robe on Monday evening ahead of the roll out of its real 2022-spec car at Tuesday's filming day in Barcelona.
The partnership between Austrian water treatment company BWT and Alpine was announced recently and unsurprisingly followed by the arrival at the helm of the team of former Aston Martin team boss Otmar Szafnauer, a man who oversaw a duo of pink cars for several seasons as the team principal of Force India/Racing Point.
"My big dream is to do everything in pink," said BWT boss Andreas Weissenbacher at the launch of the Alpine A522 livery.
"In pink it will be more shiny. The team of Alpine made it possible and it will be astonishing and it is a touching moment for me. Thanks again. You touched my heart.
"It is much more than a colour. Pinks stands for a big mission to make every day the world a little bit better."
