Ever since it came into the sport in 2005, Red Bull has always been one of the most media-savvy squads on the grid. And this week they've raised their game even further by unveiling a new event space in Milton Keynes that gives even the space-age McLaren Technology Centre a run for its money!
Christened MK7 after the postcode of its Aston Martin Red Bull Racing factory in Buckinghamshire, the new facility has been "created to represent our history and provide a unique, immersive and F1-infused environment for all of our visitors." To us, it looks like a lair even a James Bond villain would be proud to show off to his henchmen!
The MK7 will be open to anyone taking part in a factory tour, and can also be hired out for private functions. As well as the main hall, there are meeting rooms and an exclusive mezzanine floor giving a fantastic overhead view of all the exhibits below. Red Bull is pitching "this adrenaline-fueled space" as the perfect spot for team-building events, suggesting the team's simulator experience as the ideal accompaniment.
As you can see from the pictures, the 'standard' layout of the event space treats visitors to an array of the team's cars ranging from the RB1 to last year's RB13. However the RB7 - which took Sebastian Vettel to his second world championship title in 2011 over McLaren's Jenson Button - is absent from the line-up on account of bring out on tour as Red Bull's current 'showcar'.
