As was the case in Austria, the young Canadian had an un-driveable car in qualifying. The rain, traffic and tyre graining took him out of contention as early as Friday. It wasn’t much better for Massa. However, the Brazilian soldiered on to pick up a point, while Lance lingered in the pack after a sub-par start. He also complained to have lost aero efficiency linked to a possible broken barge.
