‘’Where is Palmer ???’’ Fernando, in his typical style, probably generated a chuckle among viewers by demanding to be informed of the Brits' whereabouts after clashing once again with the Renault driver. Having nothing to gain because of the penalties he received before qualifying, he didn’t overdo it in Q2. He appeared to close in on a points-scoring finish but ultimately drifted back down the order only to retire with three laps to go.
