Despite practising his craft on video games, Toro Rosso’s Max Verstappen is not a big fan of the 20-plus buttons and switches he can find on his actual steering wheel.
“I tell my engineers that they should not overload me with information,” the standout rookie told the official Formula 1 website earlier this year. “We are getting way too much info in the cockpit. Sometimes I switch off the display in my car! I want to rely on my gut feeling. Isn’t that what made great race drivers in the end?”
So much for the member of the Millenial generation embracing new technology!
