Nicholas Latifi (P16): 5.5/10
There were times during the summer when it really looked like Williams had found a way back to the heart of the midfield, but summer is a long time ago now and in recent races it seems that all Nicholas Latifi and George Russell can do is tangle with the Haas boys over ownership of the wooden spoon. At least Latifi had the satisfaction of beating Russell not only in FP1 but also in qualifying for the very first time in their shared tenure at Williams. If we're honest it was a bit of blip with Russell back on top again in time for FP2, although Latifi did well to hold on to his grid advantage in the sprint race. In the Grand Prix he was undone with the timing of his pit stops - at one point memorably holding up race leader Max Verstappen at a crucial moment of the race - which conspired to leave him finishing three places behind Russell at the chequered flag. "It was a very lonely Grand Prix as I was by myself for most of it," he said. "We'll have to look back and see what we could've done differently."
Yuki Tsunoda (P15): 5/10
Although he smoothed over the tumult of last week's events in Mexico, it's going to take Yuki Tsunoda a bit of time getting over being blamed by the Red Bull team principal for Max Verstappen losing out on pole there and the description of being "Tsunoda'd". To be honest, young Yuki didn't exactly do all that much to redeem himself this weekend and once again stuck out out for mostly the wrong reasons. He wasn't able to keep pace with AlphaTauri team mate Pierre Gasly in practice and qualifying, put himself 13th on the grid for the sprint only for the soft compound to leave him struggling at the end. He began the Grand Prix from 15th and promptly tangled with Lance Stroll which wrecked his front wing and sent him limping back to pit lane with the debris triggering a safety car. More worrying was his professed puzzlement about what had happened: "I don't understand why I'm the one who gets 10 seconds penalty," he said. "It was a risky move, but he just wasn't looking in his mirrors." Maybe look into that one a bit closer, Yuki.
