2. Mercedes W06: merging the central support pylons
At Circuit de Catalunya, Mercedes trialled a new rear wing assembly on its W06, which featured a single central support pylon instead of a double one. Similarly, the rear wing’s main plane had a single indentation in Barcelona, whereas it had two in Jerez (see red arrows).
