Daniel Ricciardo - 2nd place, 18 points - 8.5/10
After returning to the podium in Hungary, Ricciardo maintained his level in Germany and was strong throughout the weekend. Felt there was little left on the table in qualifying and showed how he is happier with the car and its tyre usage with a quick start to his final stint on supersoft tyres, which included setting the fastest lap of the race. Was helped by Max Verstappen moving over after losing out to his team-mate at the start, but threatened to close in on Hamilton before it became apparent the leader was cruising.
