RED BULL GIVES YOU LOW DRAG REAR WINGS

The resurgent Red Bull team did show up at Monza with a tailor-made rear wing setup, which differed from the installation seen in Baku and Spa. With less horsepower at its disposal, the team used an extreme low drag rear wing to challenge its Mercedes and Ferrari-engined rivals. The wing had a shorter design with endplates that did not feature any slit.

We already saw how a lower angle of attack made the slits more dispensable. Still, in order to reduce drag even further, the Red Bull endplates sport a wing profile (that can be seen more clearly on the bottom image). This shape helps accelerate the airflow on the inside of the endplate, which in turn curbs drag. This simultaneously reduces the aerodynamic load, but it is less of a hindrance at the Temple of Speed.
