RENAULT TRIES TO TAME THE HEAT
Renault sampled a series of solutions to ensure optimum cooling of its R.S.16, always a key element in the Singapore heat. Beside an asymmetrical setup (often seen at Toro Rosso), the French manufacturer assessed a new engine cover that featured a widened cooling outlet, as well as revised sidepods. The idea is to better vent the heat released by the engine, transmission and energy recovery systems.
