Former Haas F1 driver Romain Grosjean was in Bahrain last weekend, beginning his new role as a consultant for French broadcaster Canal Plus.
On Friday, Grosjean took time out from his professional duties to walk down to Sakhir’s infamous Turn 3 – or Phoenix Corner as he calls it – the very site of his terrifying crash in 2020, where he miraculously escaped a fiery inferno.
Walking down memory lane, Grosjean likely grappled with a mix of emotions - the lingering memory of the accident intertwined with the sheer gratitude for his survival.
And a selfie was in order, to remind himself that it's good to be alive.
