Kamui Kobayashi (P2 overall, P2 in LMP1): 8/10
Kamui's best F1 showing was his home GP at Suzuka where he finished third in 2012. He was in the thick of the battle for the win throughout the 24 hours this year. He and Nakajima battled hard during the night. But he and his team mates were just slightly a cut below the crew in the sister car. Very late in the running he forgot to stop for fuel when scheduled, causing many to flashback to the 2016 Toyota disaster, but he was able to come in for petrol and secure his second runner-up finish in three years.
