Lewis Hamilton - 2nd place, 18 points - 7/10
While Hamilton insists there has been no drop-off in terms of motivation since he won the world championship, he better hope there has been. Pointing to changes to the car as the reason for the switch in form is all well and good, but ultimately Hamilton was quicker with the car in one specification and is finding Rosberg is quicker as it is now. Qualifying saw a big gap to Rosberg and he couldn’t stick with his team-mate early in the race, though an impressive middle stint saw the gap closed from over six seconds down to 1.3s before he ran longer on a different strategy which didn’t pay off.
