Marcus Ericsson - 14th place - 7.5/10
Sauber was not competitive in Abu Dhabi but Ericsson secured bragging rights over team-mate Felipe Nasr after a close race between the two. Opted for an alternative strategy, running long in the middle stint on soft tyres, but that left him out of position on track and often trying to defend against faster cars. Switching to supersofts for the final stint helped beat Nasr to the flag, but was never in contention for points.
