Esteban Ocon, Alpine (SP15, P18): 5/10
Esteban Ocon is leaving Alpine for Haas at the end of the year and maybe he has already mentally checked out and moved on. This was a disappointing and lacklustre weekend all round for the Frenchman, who never looked like troubling the points. That said, he didn't deserve to be spun by Alex Albon at the start of Sunday's race, and should have been rather higher than 18th.
Valtteri Bottas, Sauber (SP20, P17): 4.5/10
Valtteri Bottas is apparently still hopeful of being retained by Sauber for 2025 but he's giving the impression of it being an unrewarding slog. It says it all that he was virtually unseen on the television coverage except when he became entangled in the Verstappen/Norris battle as they lapped him. The team is so focused on its Audi future that its forgotten there's still work to do in the present.
