Sergio Perez, Red Bull (P10, 1 pt): 6/10
Sergio Perez had another disappointing time in qualifying this weekend, which has been pretty much the story of his season. "We have been struggling with the grip, it is weirdly difficult to put a lap together, with sliding and grip," he reported on Friday night. While the race didn't produce an immediate success, Perez kept plugging away and eventually found himself vying for points with the likes of Fernando Alonso, Kevin Magnussen and Liam Lawson. He came out on top, but when your team mate is being crowned champion by comparison, Perez was very much in the shade again.
Yuki Tsunoda, RB (P9, 2 pts): 6.5/10
Yuki Tsunoda was something of the silent success of the weekend. He improved steadily through Thursday practice, suffered a bit of a setback in FP3 but then comfortably made it all the way to the final round of qualifying to start from seventh. He maintained position through to the first round of pit stops but eventually lost a place to Oscar Piastri after the second stop, and then dropped another place to Nico Hulkenberg in the closing stages. Even so, it was solid drive from the Japanese driver especially when compared to his ambitious RB team mate Liam Lawson.
