Lance Stroll, Aston Martin (Retired, lap 8): 5.5/10
While Turn 1 was still in a cloud of dust from the first corner fracas, there was more commotion further down the road when Stroll and Alex Albon went wheel-to-wheel and made contact. The Canadian was the recipient of a 10-second penalty for his responsibility in the clash, which proved inconsequential as damage to his Aston Martin forced him to retire on lap 8.
Sergio Perez, Red Bull (Retired, lap 38): 6/10
Lapping almost a second slower than his teammate in the first part of the race isn’t exactly the kind of performance that screams "I deserve this seat." Sergio Perez, as usual, couldn’t get a handle on the Red Bull in race trim, and to make matters worse, his engine decided to add insult to injury by surging and sending him spinning. Red Bull can now officially forget about the constructors’ championship, with yet another weekend reduced to a one-car show.
