F1i Driver Ratings for the 2025 Emilia Romagna GP

Lewis Hamilton – Ferrari (P4) 8.5/10

Sir Lewis was all smiles at Imola, and why not? Starting on hards and capitalizing on safety car chaos, he bagged a brilliant fourth – probably Ferrari’s ceiling for the day. The Tifosi’s roars clearly put a spring in his step, and his mood swings were firmly in the “delighted” zone. Sure, a bit of luck with pitstops helped, but Lewis drove like a man who knew exactly what he was doing. “What more could I have done?” he might’ve asked, and honestly, not much. A masterclass in making sweet lemonade from the Scuderia’s lemons.

Oscar Piastri – McLaren (P3) 7/10

Oh, Oscar. The championship leader had a golden chance to keep his winning streak alive, but he left the door wide open at Turn 1, and Max Verstappen didn’t need an invitation to barge through. As George Russell grumbled, “If you leave the door open, you know Max is going to take it.” Piastri’s fourth-place finish wasn’t disastrous, but with McLaren’s pace, and perhaps a better strategy call by team papaya regarding his early stop, he could’ve fought for more. Clean air might’ve made the difference, but Oscar’s got to sharpen those elbows if he wants to keep Norris and Verstappen at bay.
