10. Nico Hulkenberg - 7.18
For the second time in their three seasons together, Hulkenberg was outscored by team-mate Sergio Perez. That’s not to say Hulkenberg had a bad season, far from it, but he will start to ask himself why the big results were not his. There were a number of excellent performances from the German, with Hulkenberg finishing fourth in Spa and sixth in Monaco. The latter was seen as a missed opportunity as Force India failed to get him clear air, and there was an even bigger one in Brazil. Perhaps Hulkenberg’s best performance of the year only resulted in a seventh place as a puncture demoted him from fourth to 15th mid-race. Still outqualified Perez over the year and performed at a consistently high level.
