The 2013 season kicked off with a brand new pair of promising drivers: Jules Bianchi and Max Chilton. The pair consistently ran the Cosworth-powered MR02 at the tail end of the field however, bravely learning the ropes of Grand Prix racing while always trying to stay out of everyone's way.
A particular highlight of the season however was when, incredibly, both Marussia rookies made it into Q2 in qualifying at Spa after the team took a gamble on putting its drivers on slick tyres at the end of a wet Q1. The track dried out quicker than expected and joy engulfed the red team's garage
